The Andres Diaz Building: A Tampa Landmark

The history of the new Church of Scientology Tampa building is a colorful one. Built in 1908 for the well-known cigar manufacturing firm Andres Diaz and Company of New York, the building was one of the most modern factories anywhere in its day.

Over the years, the building has been occupied by not only cigar companies, but numerous other factories, and most recently was an office complex.

In 1998, the Tampa Historical Society and West Tampa Centennial Society named the building as an architectural landmark. And now, it serves the highest, most valuable use: the location where we will move beings up to total freedom.
