Scientology Volunteer Ministers Working to Combat Violence in the City of Buffalo

This summer the Scientology Volunteer Ministers of Buffalo have been working with other churches and community groups to make Buffalo a model city.

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology Buffalo are working together with other churches and community groups to make a model city out of Buffalo.

Determined to reduce the violent crime in Buffalo, Scientology Volunteer Ministers have been passing out thousands of copies of a special edition of The Way to Happiness, provided by Soul legend, Isaac Hayes.

Although homicides are down 30% from their high in 1994, the crime rate in Buffalo is still 70% higher than the national average. Local residents are 300% more likely to become a victim of a violent crime than people who live in other US cities.

In an all-out effort to eliminate the violent crime in Buffalo, the Church of Scientology Buffalo has teamed up with New Life Harvest Ministries as partners in the "Stop the Violence" initiative to stop voilent crime.

Thousands of copies of The Way to Happinesshave been provided by Soul legend, Isaac Hayes, a special edition was made and is being distributed thoughout the local area.

The Way to Happiness is a non-religious moral code based on common sense. This booklet is part of the secret behind the very successful Criminon program, which has a 60 - 80% reduction in recidivism among the graduates of the program.

All summer long the Scientology Volunteer Ministers have set up their yellow tent in neighborhoods around town, where they also provide one-on-one help, books and seminars to help the people of Buffalo improve the conditions in their lives.

The Executive Director of the Church of Scientology Buffalo has joined the Stop the Violence coalition of the New Life Harvest Ministries to curb the crime in their city.
